Mediterranean-Spiced Chicken Shawarma Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless, skinless
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp shawarma spice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4-6 small tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken thighs with olive oil, shawarma spice, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until it is no longer pink in the center, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat until they are pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos by layering lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and feta cheese on each tortilla.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken and distribute it among the tacos.
  6. Drizzle each taco with tzatziki sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken breasts for the thighs if you prefer.
  • The shawarma spice can be found in most grocery stores or online.
  • Feel free to add other toppings like olives, bell peppers, or hummus.
