Ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds tri-tip steak
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 4 sandwich rolls or buns
- 1 cup arugula
- Horseradish Cream:
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Season the tri-tip steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Brush BBQ sauce on both sides of the steak during the last few minutes of grilling.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Then, slice it thinly against the grain.
- To prepare the horseradish cream, in a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, prepared horseradish, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasonings to taste.
- Slice the sandwich rolls or buns in half. Spread a generous amount of horseradish cream on the bottom half.
- Layer the sliced tri-tip steak on top of the horseradish cream. Top with a handful of arugula.
- Place the top half of the roll/bun on the arugula to complete the sandwich.
- Serve the BBQ Grilled Tri-Tip Sandwiches immediately and enjoy!
Note: You can serve the sandwich with additional BBQ sauce and your favorite side dishes, such as coleslaw or potato salad.
