Cuisine: Seafood
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 blood orange, juiced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 habanero pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- Smoked Shishito Rub:
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked sea salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the blood orange juice, honey, and chopped habanero pepper to create the glaze.
- In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the Smoked Shishito Rub and mix well.
- Generously coat the salmon fillets with the Smoked Shishito Rub on all sides.
- Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the blood orange habanero glaze onto the salmon fillets, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
- Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the Blood Orange Habanero Glazed Salmon immediately and enjoy!
Note: You can serve the salmon with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
